Exodus 7:14-25
A contaminated source

During the first plague that Moses and Aaron brought upon Egypt they turned the water of the Nile River into blood, not just in the river but throughout Egypt. The Nile River was believed to be, and was the symbol of, the source of life and existence for Pharaoh and his people. This contamination within their source caused fish to die, foul odors and ultimately a useless source for water. Much the same happens in our lives when we drink, or consume from a contaminated spiritual source.
